LAHORE: Under the leadership of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a meeting was facilitated by which the decision was made to offer bikes to students on affordable payments in addition to launching hybrid bus services in the province’s main cities.
Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the PML-N, offered during the meeting that the Punjab government give the students a total of 20,000 motorbikes, both fuel and electric, on an acceptable payment plan. He suggested that the government cover the interest and a portion of the student’s financial load.
Maryam Nawaz endorsed the proposal and said that the Punjabi government will provide students with 1,99,000 petrol and 1,000 electric motorcycles on a simple interest-free payment plan. Students in Punjab who have an Authentic driver’s license will get hold of motorcycles thanks to a partnership with the Bank of Punjab. Students could simplest be required to pay bills of Rs 5000 each month. The month-to-month charge for an e-motorbike might be Rs 10,000 and for a petrol cycle, Rs 5000. The bikes might be brought in May following the draw that month.
