The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) still unable to finalize results even 24 Hours after Voting Ended in Pakistan General Elections 2024. The delay in releasing the results of yesterday’s elections has drawn criticism towards the ECP.
The provincial election commissioners and returning officers were also given a strong warning by ECP last night to declare the results of the General Elections of 2024 within 30 minutes or “Face Strict Action”. However, the official results of the Pakistan General Elections 2024 for most of the seats in the National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies are still pending.

According to the preliminary unofficial results, independent candidates backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are leading for the majority of seats in the National Assembly Seats.
Regarding the worries over the postponement of election results, the Interior Ministry has also commented. It claimed that “a lack of communication, which was a result of preventive measures taken to ensure foolproof security” was the cause of the delay. The Ministry declared the existing situation to be “satisfactory.”
However, customers all throughout the nation experienced hour-long interruptions even after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) declared that there would be no internet disruptions.
In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that recent militant attacks have resulted in the loss of “precious lives,” and that such “security measures are essential to maintain the law and order situation and to deal with potential threats.”
