Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced the revised Gas Tariff 2024 for the second time in recent months. The cost of Gas and Electricity has reached record highs for Pakistanis, and now, in an effort to reduce debt linked to subsidies, the caretaker government has further increased Gas Rates.
The latest increase was made in an attempt to comply with IMF requirements. In addition, the recent price increases are a part of larger reforms in the gas industry, such as the phase-out of subsidies.
