Here is the latest update on Current Political Parties Status in Pakistan Elections 2024! The tallying of votes is currently in progress following the participation of millions of Pakistanis in their electoral exercise to select their representatives for a five-year tenure despite of nationwide cessation of internet and mobile services, political unrest, and acts of terrorism.
A total of 17,816 candidates, comprising both independent individuals and those affiliated with political parties, vied for electoral positions across various constituencies, including 265 National Assembly, 296 Punjab Assembly, 130 Sindh Assembly, 113 – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, and 51 Balochistan Assembly.

The electoral process transpired across 855 constituencies out of the total 859. However, due to the demise of a candidate, the electoral proceedings were suspended in the constituencies of NA 8, PP 266, PK 22, and PK 91, rendering voting infeasible.
According to preliminary findings from the electoral oversight body, independent candidates have emerged as leading with 95 seats, with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) closely trailing with 79 seats. Pakistan People’s Party has garnered a total of 54 seats in the National Assembly thus far. Additionally, the MQM-Pakistan has secured 17 National Assembly seats, IPP and BNP, each clinched two seats. Furthermore, the JUI-F and PML-Q secured three seats each, while MWM, PML-Z, PMAP and PNAP clinched victory on one National Assembly seat each.
