WhatsApp Latest Feature | Send Pictures and Files Offline

LAHORE: The company that created the instant messaging app WhatsApp is developing a new version that will expand on the feature, enabling users to transmit files without an internet connection.

Up until the most recent update, using any social media app without internet access seemed unfeasible. Meta, a company owned by Mark Zuckerberg, is working on a new feature that will alter the file-sharing experience for users.

WhatsApp Offline Mode

According to information provided by an insider, the social media site is developing a new function that would let users share documents, music, films, and images even while they are not online.

Details regarding the permissions required for this feature can be found in screenshots taken from the most recent Android beta of WhatsApp. According to the leaks, users will be able to turn off the phone’s ability to use Bluetooth to identify nearest devices for local file sharing.

To protect user privacy and security, the new, ground-breaking function will encrypt shared files and hide phone numbers, but it will still require access to system files, the photo gallery, and location data.

The company is developing technology that was previously used by ShareIT, Zapya, Xender, and ShareAll, among other peer-to-peer file-sharing programs.

Although the tech giant has not announced an official release date, the fact that it’s under beta testing suggests that it will soon be available to consumers globally, potentially improving security and simplicity.
