State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is launching an Art Competition for new banknote design. An Art Competition is organized to gather innovative and thematic design ideas for the new banknotes. Local artists, designers, and art students can submit their new ideas of design and win prizes. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winning designs.
Themes for the designs include social and cultural identities, demographic diversity, climate change, environment protection, economic development, natural landscapes, architectural heritage, and national symbols.

Participants are encouraged to develop novel designs and ideas for the new banknote series.
How to apply?
Applicants should forward their design to the following address: Director, Finance Department, State Bank of Pakistan, I.I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi, by 11th March 2024.
Deadline:
The last date for the submission of new ideas of design is March 11, 2024.
Term & Conditions:
- Submit designs for seven denominations or fewer (Rs. 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000, and 5000).
- Hard copy of new designs on white paper with a brief (up to 100 words) explanation in English or Urdu.
- Each denomination must have unique colors.
- Jury will picks top six for each and then SBP selects top 3.
- 1st winner Prize: Rs.1,000,000/-
- 2nd winner Prize: Rs.500,000/-
- 3rd winner Prize: Rs.300,000/-
- Designs have to be free of copyright.
- Ineligible: Jury members, SBP employees, and family.
- Submitted designs are SBP’s property, shareable or modifiable without extra compensation.
