Singapore Work Permit New Rules and Salary Updates for January 2025

Singapore is one of the developing island nations within Southeast Asia, which is famous for its strong economy continuously providing employment for locals and foreigners.

Like any other foreigner, Pakistani nationals must meet the requirements for the work permit to be allowed to work in Singapore.

With a Gross Domestic Product of $501 billion, Singapore offers different kinds of work visas for foreign employees. One kind of visa is the Employment Pass, which is mainly for professionals working in managerial and executive positions.

Applicants who would like to be issued an EP must pass certain salary requirements and pass a COMPASS skill assessment test to qualify for this visa.

Latest Minimum Salary for Singapore Work Visa 2025:

As of January 2025, it will increase its minimum salary scale to $5,600 for most work permits and upscale the financial sector to $6,200 for financial services-related applications. Its COMPASS program is an evaluative scale from education to value in the employment experience. Increased salary rates under visa renewals will start in January 2026.
