The Caretaker Chief Minister has issued a directive for the re-taking of the MDCAT exam across Sindh. The responsibility for administering the re-conducted exam has been entrusted to the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi.

The decision to re-conduct the MDCAT stems from a significant breach of transparency. The Jinnah Sindh Medical University, which previously supervised the exam, faced a severe lapse in integrity as the exam paper was leaked 4-5 hours before the scheduled test commencement.

To ensure swift and just action against those responsible for the leak, the Caretaker Chief Minister involved the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The FIA has been tasked with identifying and dealing with the culprits under the law.
Peshawar High Court (PHC) Ruling:
The decision to re-conduct the MDCAT exam received legal backing from the Peshawar High Court (PHC), which ruled in favor of the provincial government. The PHC ordered the re-taking of the exam within a stipulated six-week timeframe.
