Lahore: Pakistan’s biggest first-class cricket competition the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy will begin on October 26.
18 teams from the 16 areas will compete in the four-day competition which ends on December 19.
Following a 456-run victory over Faisalabad Region in the final at the Gaddafi Stadium from October 22–26, 2023, captained by Sarfaraz Ahmed the Karachi Region Whites will defend the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy title this year.
The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is Pakistan’s top domestic cricket tournament according to Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Director of Domestic Cricket Operations. In addition to being a competition it provides a stage for exhibiting the vast talent in the nation and gets players ready for the demanding nature of international cricket.
Since they will be interacting with the top players in the nation, we will continue to give players the greatest opportunity to succeed and demonstrate their ability on the biggest stage in domestic cricket.
We have shown a strong commitment to fortifying our domestic structure as evidenced by our successful Champions One-Day Cup earlier. This promise is still centered on the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy being executed successfully.
