The minister highlighted that the weekend off is a component of a larger plan to lighten the workload that government school teachers bear. “The workload for teachers in government schools is heavy,” stated Rana Sikandar Hayat. “The burden of teachers of government schools has been reduced.”
Punjab’s government schools will finally hold classes from Monday through Friday beginning this week. Teacher training sessions will take place only on Saturdays, giving educators the freedom to concentrate on honing their methods and techniques without having to worry about fitting in with regular class schedules.
The minister also declared intentions to extend the hours that government schools are open, though no precise information has been released as of yet. Despite the addition of the Saturday holiday, this modification attempts to preserve the standard of education by optimizing class time during workdays.
