PTA Announces High Speed Internet Restoration Date in Pakistan

Islamabad: After four months during which internet users experienced noticeably slower speeds the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has now made public the timeline for the restoration of high-speed internet services nationwide. This has impacted businesses that depend on fast internet access as well as online activities.

As to the official statement released by the PTA, users will receive much-needed relief on October 30th when high-speed internet services will return. Problems with underwater internet cables were the main cause of the delay.

Four of the seven underwater cables, which are essential to Pakistan’s internet infrastructure, will be repaired by the last week of October, the statement further said.
