In today’s 14th Match of the PSL 2024, Multan Sultans easily crushed Lahore Qalandars. Tonight, Multan Sultans were outstanding; they bowled better than their opponents. A dominant total was achieved thanks to Usman Khan outstanding 96 runs against Lahore Qalandars team. Due to the outstanding leadership of Mohammad Rizwan, the team celebrated achievement together with unity and joy. With 2 wickets on his debut, younger leg spinner Faisal Akram delighted in the encouraging atmosphere. Lahore Qalandars troubles were made worse by Usama Mir 6 wicket performance since they were unable to gain momentum and lost early wickets. Multan Sultans secure the top spot with 10 points with this victory, while Lahore Qalandars suffer their sixth straight loss.
The top team decided to bat first and celebrated a significant win. Usman Khan outstanding batting performance was an important factor in the team stunning comeback, which came despite the early setback of out of skipper Rizwan for a duck in the first over. Usman lead his team to a decent total of 214 runs with the creation of three consecutive partnerships, each of which produced fifty runs. Usman came within four runs of a century, but his contribution was crucial in putting his team in a dominant position.

However, Lahore’s reply got off to a great start, scoring 50 runs in the first five overs. Their fortunate situation was short lived, yet, as they lost both of their opening batters very quickly. Lahore’s batting problems increased as they lost wickets often and found it difficult to remain stable. Even with a remarkable effort from spinner Faisal Akram who showed remarkable skill with figures of 4-25-2, Lahore could not overcome the poor performances of their batting lineup. Usama Mir had a difficult start, giving up 16 runs in his opening over, but he bounced back wonderfully, taking 6 wickets in the end. Lahore performance exposed their difficulties in both the bowling and batting departments, making it a difficult day in the field.
