Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has named the seven members of the national selection committee. He said that there might be no chairman and that every one seven contributors might have the same authority at some point at a press convention on Sunday at PCB headquarters in Gaddafi Stadium, along with currently nominated members.
Former captain Mohammad Yousuf, left-arm bowler Wahab Riaz, middle-order batter Asad Shafiq, and all-rounder Abdul Razzaq will make up the selection committee. The other members will be the analyst, captain, and head coach. For the Under 19 cricket team, the same selection committee will be in charge.
According to Mohsin Naqvi, two or three coordinators would assist the committee but will not be able to cast votes.

He stated that in the future, the committee will make all decisions and expressed hope that the seasoned former cricket players will contribute to positive outcomes. He stated that the selecting committee would choose the squad captain after careful consideration.
He hoped the Champions Trophy 2024 would proceed according to plan. He said that an International Cricket Council (ICC) team will be visiting Pakistan to assess the country preparations for the big international competition.
