The federal minister of communications, television, culture, and national heritage, Attaullah Tarar, declared on Tuesday that a new visa policy would be implemented to increase travel and attract international investment. With this strategy, citizens of 126 countries will no longer need a visa.
At a news conference, Tarar revealed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will unveil the new visa regulations this evening. By expediting the visa application process, nationals of these 126 nations would have easier access to Pakistan with the support of this effort.

The new rule, which takes effect tonight, will allow these tourists to get their visas in as little as 10 minutes after completing a brief 30-question online application. The visas are valid for three months and may be quickly renewed.
In addition, visas for residents of Gulf countries would be provided upon arrival, and the measure will encourage pilgrims to visit Pakistan more frequently for religious purposes.
Tarar highlighted that the new approach is part of a bigger effort to showcase Pakistan’s infrastructure and natural beauty, which has made a good impression on foreign tourists. He exhorted travellers, businesses, and investors to discover Pakistan’s diverse landscapes, which include verdant valleys, deserts, oceans, and other stunning locations.
In response to inquiries, Tarar stated that dedicated tourist offices will be established at airports and that all pertinent parties are collaborating to ensure the security and safety of visitors. Furthermore, he stated that visitors from outside had significantly outnumbered locals in Gilgit-Baltistan.
To lower lodging costs and improve visitor amenities, the government is aggressively encouraging foreign investment in Pakistan’s tourism sector, especially from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
