Pakistan Digital City Project is Launched in Haripur

Islamabad: The establishment of Pakistan Digital City in Haripur has seen the agreement of a new 8 billion rupee deal through the Special Investment Facilitation Council.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board and Special Technology Zones Authority have signed an agreement. Every business operating in the Digital City will be free from taxes for the next ten years, making it the first tax-free zone in the nation.

Situated on more than 11 acres of land, the city can accommodate about 4,000 IT startups that are expected to be completely operational by 2026.

Furthermore, to increase IT exports to over $50 million, the project will give IT graduates job prospects. In part because of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, the development of Digital City is already 30% finished.

The City had previously received a 1642 million rupee investment from Nespak and the National Logistics Cell.
