Lahore – The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has addressed concerns over increased electricity bills during the summer months, attributing the rise to higher electricity consumption rather than delays in billing or meter readings.

Due to the intense heat, the use of fans, air coolers, and air conditioners significantly increases, causing the average consumer’s electricity usage to exceed the projected range of 200 units. This shift results in higher charges due to the application of new billing slabs.

LESCO is committed to providing maximum convenience to its customers and employs Pro Rata billing to ensure monthly bills do not exceed 30 or 31 days. This method benefits consumers by preventing meter readers from adjusting billing days for personal gain and maintaining bills within the calendar month.
