Islamabad Schools to Go Solar | Education Ministry Unveils New Project

Islamabad: The Federal Ministry for Education has unveiled a new project to convert Islamabad’s schools to solar power marking a significant step towards sustainable energy and modernization.

Within the next two months, Islamabad’s primary schools will switch to solar power according to a Ministry official. The project is scheduled to be finished by the end of the year to use sustainable and reasonably priced electrical sources.

According to the spokesperson, the solar power project would save electricity bills while also giving schools a dependable supply of sustainable energy. Solar panels will be erected on the rooftops of a few chosen schools and the initiative’s savings will be used to improve the learning environment.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that no new tariffs will be placed on solar panels, guaranteeing the public’s access to solar energy as part of this green effort. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that renewable solar energy is available and cheap for every Pakistani citizen during a federal cabinet meeting.
