These scholarships are intended for students aspiring to pursue four/five-year BS programs at HEC-recognized public sector universities/degree-awarding institutions (DAIs). The application window is open for the academic year 2023-24 across various study disciplines as part of the ‘Undergraduate Scholarship Program for the Students of Gilgit Baltistan in Top Pakistani Universities/Institutions (Batch-III)’ project.
The last date for the application submission is September 30, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria Of HEC Undergraduate Scholarships For Gilgit Baltistan Students in 2023:
- A domicile/local certificate from Gilgit Baltistan is required.
- Completion of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and/or Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent is necessary. Preference for those completing SSC/HSSC or equivalent from Gilgit Baltistan.
- Applicants currently benefiting from other scholarships are ineligible.
- Applications are open for public sector universities/institutions across Pakistan. Students bear additional expenses beyond PC-1 coverage.
- The maximum age limit is 22 years at the application submission closing date.
- Meeting both HEC and university criteria for BS program admission is obligatory.
Features: HEC Undergraduate Scholarships For Gilgit Baltistan Students in 2023 will cover the following points;
- Coverage: Tuition, hostel, and other charges included, up to Rs. 240,000 per year.
- Monthly stipend: Rs. 15,000.
- Book and travel allowance: Rs. 30,000 per year.

- Shortlisting: Based on Aptitude Test scores (conducted by the Education Testing Council, HEC) and academic records.
- Minimum Test Score: 50% marks required.
