Islamabad: Cabinet Division Proposes Eid-ul-Azha Holidays to Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
On Tuesday the Cabinet Division sent a summary to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat proposing the observance of Eid-ul-Azha holidays. According to sources the federal government has authorized a three-day holiday from June 17 to June 19.

According to reports the Cabinet Division’s summary has received approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Following the June 7 sighting of the Zil Hajj moon Pakistan will celebrate Eid ul Adha on June 17.
In honor of the Prophet Ibrahim’s readiness to present his son as a sacrifice to God Muslims observe two Eid celebrations: Eidul Adha and the Feast of Sacrifice. commemorated customarily by the killing of animals the flesh of which is distributed to the poor and family members.
Throughout the three days of Eid the devout slay their sacrificed animals to celebrate Prophet Ibrahim’s tradition.
