As the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 gets closer reports regarding the big event’s championship match have started to circulate.
Media sources state that the final of the 2025 Champions Trophy could move from Lahore to Dubai if the Indian team makes it to that tournament which is slated to take place in Pakistan.
The locations of the competition which is scheduled for February 19–March 9, 2025, have already been determined. The official timetable however, has not yet been disclosed because the Indian government and board would not send a team to Pakistan.

Despite this, there is anticipation that the Indian team will travel to Pakistan for the huge event. Pakistan last hosted India in 2008.
According to reports, the Champions Trophy final will take place on March 9 in Lahore, although Dubai could serve as a backup destination. This could provide logistical issues for teams, referees, media, and supporters.
Meanwhile, the renovation of three significant venues is moving forward quickly and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is still committed to hosting the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
It is noteworthy because this is Pakistan’s second major tournament after hosting the World Cup in 1996. Under Sarfaraz Ahmed’s leadership Pakistan last won the Champions Trophy in 2017, triumphing over their bitter foe India in the championship match.
The Pakistan Cricket Board denied the information that the British media claimed regarding the event’s final being moved.
