Australia’s Test players will not play in the T20i series against Pakistan, which opens the door for a new captain to assume leadership.
The Australian team for the forthcoming Twenty20 International series against Pakistan, scheduled for November, has been revealed.
With their Test stars expected to miss the series that concludes the week the Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign starts, Australia will have a new captain for their T20 International match against Pakistan next month.

Since none of the current Test captains were selected in a 13-man squad for the games in Brisbane, Sydney, and Hobart, Josh Inglis, Adam Zampa, and Matt Short are in the running to replace Mitch Marsh as T20 captain against Pakistan.
Australia’s Team Players for T20I Series with Pakistan:
Adam Zampa, Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis, and Sean Abbott make up the Australia T20 team.
With the undetermined Test team gathering in Perth halfway through the three-T20 match against Pakistan before the series opener against India, it is an inevitable result.
Hobart will host the final Twenty20 International on November 18, and on November 22, the first Test match versus India will start on the opposite side of the nation.
Andre Borovec, who guided the team during a five-match T20I series against India following the ODI World Cup last year, will take over as coach.
