Pakistan has started issuing e-passports for its citizens as part of a significant update with a reasonable e-Passport Fee. Pakistan e-Passport looks a very secure travel document.
An electronic chip is placed in one of the page of e-passport that stores in passport holder’s biometric data.
Data on the chip, including the passport holder’s fingerprints, will be used to confirm their identity.
Schedule for e-Passport Fee in Pakistan:
Pakistan has established a structure for e-passport fee for November 2024. Normal processing of a 36 Page, 05 Years passport value is Rs 9000, while expedited issue costs Rs15,000. A 36-page passport with a 10-year validity is normally priced at Rs13,500, but urgent processing costs Rs22,500.

The regular cost of a 72-page passport with a five-year validity period is Rs16,500, plus an additional Rs27,000 for accelerated processing. Applicants must pay Rs24,750 for ordinary processing and Rs40,500 for expedited processing for a 72-page passport with a 10-year validity.
