Dubai has introduced a new program to recognize private school teachers by awarding them golden visas for their excellent achievements to education.
On International Teachers’ Day, Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced on social media that teachers who succeeded in private education would be awarded golden visas in celebration of their achievements.
He complimented educators for preparing future leaders and contributing to Dubai’s ambitious E33 education strategy.
The golden visa program will accept applications from teachers at early childhood centers, private schools and international higher education institutions beginning October 15.

Eligibility Criteria for Golden Visa Applications Open for Top Teachers in Dubai’s Private Education:
- Teachers must meet the Emirates authorities’ requirements to be eligible for the Golden Visa. These qualifications include outstanding academic success and innovative contributions to the field of education.
- Candidates should have advanced degrees, such as a PhD, a master’s degree, a fellowship, or a CPA credential.
- Candidates must also demonstrate that they have raised the level of instruction at their respective institutions and garnered recognition or admiration from the greater educational community.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate verifiable contributions to improving student outcomes, such as academic advancement and graduation rates.
- To be officially nominated by the school’s board of governors, teachers must demonstrate verifiable success in assisting certain student groups. The nomination should emphasize “outstanding leadership” and include specific justifications.
Who Can Apply:
- This program accepts applications from full-time faculty members, senior administrative leaders in higher education institutions, academic heads of higher education institutions, school principals and leaders, administrators of Early Childhood Centres (ECCs), and teachers from both schools and ECCs.
- Additional requirements for principals include receiving a “good” or better grade in the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau’s (DSIB) yearly assessment and maintaining or increasing that level over time.
- Students, parents, staff, and other stakeholders should give administrators positive feedback on their leadership and the overall climate of the school.
- Instructors in higher education should also highlight their research achievements by presenting documentation of work published in prestigious journals, research funding, joint ventures, consultant reports, or creative exhibitions.
- Teachers who satisfy professional excellence requirements must be nominated by their principal and approved and supported by the school’s board of governors.
- Furthermore, they must offer evidence of student development on internal and external tests and assessments. In terms of teacher performance, soliciting feedback from students, parents, and school administration is critical.
How to Apply for Golden Visa Applications Open for Top Teachers in Dubai’s Private Education:
Dubai’s schools, early development centers, and universities can propose employees who meet the eligibility conditions for the Golden Visa program.
Candidates must provide several key documents, including:
- The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) provides school rating reports for principals.
- Give out certificates.
- Student and parent testimonials, along with survey findings.
- Staff testimonials (for ECC managers, principals, and academic leaders)
- Proof of community involvement.
- Records attest to improved student performance
- Nominations and recommendations from the Board of Governors
A committee will review the applications and recommend a course of action to KHDA. It will then engage with the appropriate authorities and review the applications. Instructors who meet the standards will be notified of the success of their applications.
