Islamabad – Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar guaranteed that overseas Pakistanis will get their passports within sixty days.
He announced at a gathering in Islamabad when he spoke about issues concerning Pakistanis living abroad.
The Interior Secretary and the DG of Immigration and Passports provided the Deputy Prime Minister with a thorough briefing on the prompt passport issuance for Pakistanis living abroad.
This incident coincides with claims that Pakistanis living in Pakistan and abroad are experiencing delays in getting passports issued, with the regular process taking more than three months.
Moreover, a notification banning passport issuing to foreign asylum seekers has been withdrawn by the government, as announced.
