Islamabad – The federal government has announced a relief package for essential food items like flour, rice, and pulses at Utility Stores nationwide, aimed at easing inflation impacts for the public.
According to media sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave the order for the initiative to be taken. The curbside subsidy on beans, rice, flour, and sugar would be increased to Rs 100.

A summary has been sent to the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) in this regard. August 1st will mark the beginning of the assistance package following approval by the federal cabinet and the ECC. Consumers will continue to receive relief under the current PM package until the debut of this one.
Ten billion rupees of the sixty-five billion rupees allotted for the PM relief package for the current fiscal year have already been spent on the Ramazan package. For this reason, the PM relief package is expected to cost Rs 55 billion this fiscal year. The amount allotted under the PM package during the previous fiscal year was Rs 35 billion.
