The Higher Education Commission HEC has prohibited student enrollment in unauthorized sub campuses of private universities, as reported on Tuesday.

A notice outlining both legal and illegal sub campuses has been released by HEC. HEC has only recognized 42 sub campuses from 20 institutions out of 109 universities and institutes as legitimate.
The legitimacy of the Rafah University and the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences campuses in Lahore has been determined.
HEC issued the advisory, warning students not to waste their time or money by enrolling in unlawful sub campuses since HEC will not recognize the degrees these schools provide.
