Islamabad – Pakistan and Japan signed a $2.1 million deal on Tuesday to improve the Human Resource Development Scholarship Program through 2024.

At a ceremony in Islamabad, Wada Mitsuhiro, Japan’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Pakistan, and Secretary of Economic Affairs Kazim Niaz signed the agreement.
This grant will primarily target young officers from Pakistan’s Federal Civil Service and Ex-Cadre officers by funding seventeen scholarships for Master’s programs and one for a PhD/Doctorate program at prestigious universities in Japan.
The abilities and performance of young officers, who are essential to Pakistan’s socio-economic progress, have significantly improved as a result of this effort.
