The petitions were heard by a two-member court led by Justices Adnan Abdul Karim Memon and Muhammad Abdul Rehman. Following its consideration of the initial arguments, the court ordered Sindh food department officials to make sure farmers have access to wheat bags by 11 am the next day.

The court issued a warning that noncompliance with this order could lead to possible arrest. Farmers faced issues in procuring wheat sacks, which increased their difficulties in the agricultural process, even though the wheat crop was ready for market delivery.
